NORTHCENTRAL — The White Pines Corp. residual waste landfill in Pine Township, Columbia County, opened for business on Aug. 3 following a final inspection of the site by DEP's Waste Management program staff. The landfill is permitted to receive 800 tons as a daily average and a maximum of 1,000 tons on any single operating day. The first disposal cell is about six acres. White Pines Corp. is owned by J.P. Mascaro & Sons.
